Juliana Hatfield: Hey Babe (Colored Vinyl) Vinyl LP

Here comes the song I love so much, makes me wanna go and fuck shit up. Debut album from Boston singer-songwriter Juliana Hatfield, former member of Blake Babies and theLemonheads. Hey Babe was recorded around the same time as Its A Shame About Ray and released only 3 months prior, and features theLemonheads Evan Dando on guitar and the Minutemens Mike Watt on bass. Julianas hooks are charming, with serious potential for radio and teen movie crossover success. And theres something oddly compelling about her soft, high voice – like an American version of The Sundays Harriet Wheeler with a little more edge. Out of print for more than 25 years, lovingly reissued by American Laundromat on pixie purple colored vinyl. Best tracks: Ugly, No Outlet, I See You, The Lights, Nirvana.
