Jamma-Dee: Vol.1 Vinyl 12″

So smooooth.NYC’s Arcane imprint taps L.A.’s Jamma Dee for their second release and it’s been steady killing us softly (and we love it).Taking cuesfrom late 80’s/early 90’s R&B and New Jack Swing, Jamma Dee Vol. 1 takes the funk to a whole new level of sexysophistication. From the suave”I Can Do Right” that recalls boogie crooners like Surfaceorthe streamy piano solos on “Cloudy Night,” to the swingin’ beats of “Got It Goin’ On” and “L.U.V. Cra-Zee” that give Teddy Riley a nod, this EP has all the right vibes to get you in the mood. Also includes the slowed down funkof “Your Love” and the jazzy “Gud Ol Luv.” Comes with a printed tracklist featuring artwork from Jamma Dee himself. Recommended.
