Adrian Younge: Something About April II Instrumentals Vinyl LP

Another round of stunning instrumentals from Adrian Younge. By now you should be famililar withmulti-instrumentalist/producer who’s brilliant analog production work has been likenedtothat of Ennio Morricone and even the Beatles.Similar to the firstSomething About April, the tracks here are composed ofgritty cinematic elements andvintage soulwith a hip-hop breakbeat aesthetic in mind.Like we said before, Younge’s music is at the same time soulful and heavy, dark and psychedelic, and just plain awesome. It’s no wonder heavyweightslike DJ Premier, Jay-Z, Common, and others have been sampling his work – but the truth is that all these tracks stand tall without the need of vocalists as the music speaks for itself. Highlights include “Sittin’ By The Radio,” “Winter Is Here,” “La Ballade,” “Magic Music,” “Hear My Love,” and more.Recommended.
