Art Blakey And The Jazz Messengers – Buhaina (Vinyl LP)

Buhaina (1973) is a critically regarded later-period Art Blakey album that finds the drummer transitioning from pure hard-bop into a 1970s soul-jazz and modal groove. Featuring younger players like Woody Shaw and Carter Jefferson, it showcases a “deep, meditative” yet driving sound, highlighted by extended tracks like ‘Mission Eternal’
