Fossora is the tenth studio album by Icelandic singer-musician Bjrk. It was released on 30 September 2022 through One Little Independent Records.

Fossora is the 10th album from singular icon Bjrk. Its name is derived from the feminine version of the Latin word for digger, and draws from Bjrks experience being grounded during lockdown in her native Iceland. Using her characteristically eclectic musical style, Bjrk folds in different influences and styles on Fossora. Amidst earthy bass clarinets and tender thematic explorations into her ancestry are vigorous gabber eruptions, culminating in a sort of biological techno.

The end result is a mixture of the fantastical and the personal – a bold artistic excursion from a distinctly individual, restless creative force. The album features contributions from American singer Serpentwithfeet, Bjrk’s two children Sindri and sadra, Indonesian dance duo Gabber Modus Operandi, and a bass clarinet sextet. (Rhythmethod)
