Burial: Kindred Vinyl 12″

Nobody does it like Burial. Sure many try to emulate and imitate his style, but there is nothing quite like the real thing. 2012’sThe Kindred EP is finds UK producer on Hyperdubonce again,living up to his reputation with three beautifully produced tracks that raise the bar for dubstep/bass music. Check the rumbing 2step drums and dense atmosphere of the title track “Kindred” for a sampling ofthe brilliance. “Loner” comes next and continues the magic with more of a shuffling, 4×4 rhythm and hypnotic drone loops aplenty. Finally “Ashtray Wasp” closes it out on an ethereal vibe beyond the clouds. Three for three on this one, how does he do it? 2017 repress in Hyperdub label sleeve, recommended.
