HOLOVR: Trace Realm EP Vinyl 12″

This acid gives life. Following several acclaimed releases on Opal Tapes and Indole Records, HOLOVR steps out on the esteemed Firecracker imprint with his unique brand of emotive acid. For Trace RealmJimmy Billingham (aka HOLOVR) skillfullyblurs the lines between ambient, acid, house, and techno, resulting in something that is just as fulfilling in the headphones as it is on the dancefloor. Check “Transient Field” and “Drift Portal” that weave squirmy 303 lines with introspectivepads and propulsive drums, while “Into The Outer” utilizes a similar formula for even deeper effects. Thisis also one of the rare instances to enjoyBillingham’s music on the vinyl format, as most previous releases were restricted to cassette or digital. Fans ofAphex Twin,Lnrdcroy, Ex-Terrestrial, etc. should definitely check. Recommended.
