Jonny Greenwood: Phantom Thread Soundtrack Vinyl 2LP

“Whatever you do, do it carefully.”Jonny Greenwood’sstunning score for Paul Thomas Anderson’s Phantom Thread gets a proper vinyl pressing courtesy of Nonesuch. The Radiohead member goes above and beyond the call of duty here, recruiting a 60-piece orchestra to create ascore as lavish andmeticulous as the the world of 50’s high fashion it soundtracks. This is easily one of the most ambitious scores from Greenwood, and it quite perfectly sets the grand tone to the House of Woodcock and all thehighs and lows of the period film. This 2018 pressing comes pressed on double vinyl, complete with scorebook written and arranged by Greenwood himself. Recommended.
