Madlib: Pinata Beats Vinyl 2LP

Just the beats! Madlib hooking it up with the killer instrumentals from the recent Pinata album with rapper Freddie Gibbs. No diss to Gibbs, but these beats are some of Madlib’s finest since Madvillainy and definitely hold their own sans lyrics. Heavy influence from classic soul and blaxploitation flicks means these beats have you diggin’ the scene with a gangster lean. Some faves – “Deeper,” “High,” “Harolds,” Thuggin,” and “Robes.” Standard version with raps and limited cassette also available. Recommended.
