Richard Davis: Methane Sea Vinyl 12″

Detroit holy grail repressed!Richard Davis dropped this seminalpiece of cosmic ambience way back in 1978, predatinghis work with Juan AtkinsasCybotron. Listening to “Methane Sea” evokes images of distant planets, alien life forms, and maybe even a gaseousocean or two. It reallygoes to show how ahead of the curve this Motor City visionarywas… either that or maybe Davis is indeed from another planet (totally possible). Original 45 copies are crazy rare and expensive ($800+), so you probably don’t want to miss this 12″ reissue while it’s around.
