Stone Temple Pilots: Purple Vinyl LP

Sophomore effort from Stone Temple Pilots back on wax. Purple was originally released in 1994 (following their breakout debut Core) and found the San Diego band delving deeper into the realms of hard rock and grunge, while flirting with psychedelic influences. Far from a sophomore slump, many consider this album to be their best. Includes the hit singles “Vasoline,” “Interstate Love Song,” “Big Empty,” and more. 11 tracks in all.

• sophomore album
