Tame Impala : Elephant (Free MP3) 12″

Bluesy, stomping single taken from 2012’s highly acclaimed Lonerism. Hitting with a crunchy riff and pounding drums, the young Aussies take the volume past 10 and the psychedelia past a million. On remix duties, the infamous studio wizard / songwriter extraordinaire Todd Rundgren brings the track to a distorted clubby vibe, still maintaining the shuffle of the original, really opening up the track for full on freakout. Canyons drops a modern kraut / kosmische / nu disco workout to round out the release. Full color sleeve with free download code included.
