Wooden Shjips – Back To Land (Vinyl)

2013’sBack To Land, the sixth full-length release for the San Francisco psychedelic rock band Wooden Shjips is widely praised by critics as the most accessible and sunniest record in the band’s catalog.

On Back To Land the band traded dense, foreboding fuzz for a warmer, more melodic “California-sunshine” feel while maintaining their hypnotic, motorik-driven roots. Back to Land is a gorgeous album. Its been baked in the sun, swept by euphonious breezes, and finished off with a glistening layer of silvery mist.
